Site Update

Well, I’ve finally updated the site a tad. The archives are now working, and I’ve changed the blogroll slightly so you can see at a glance which blogs have been updated. If I’m forgetting anyone, let me know!

And—wait, who’s this?

Do The Soda Craze!

Why, it’s Mr. Dancing Craze!

I guess he’s here to remind us that this isn’t just Premee’s and my blog. If you follow this multi-author blog, you’re welcome to post as much or as little as you’d like! You can register in the top-right, log in at the bottom of the side bar, and blog away! It’s a lot less stressful than maintaining your own blog if you don’t have one, and it’s great for posting things that you don’t think would fit into your current blog if you do.

So, thanks, Mr. Dancing Craze, for the reminder!

Well, I’m off to see The Messengers. I expect it will be terrible. That’s never stopped me before, mind you.

Yeah, what’s up with the unrelenting posting pressure on me and Mark? I am weeping from the stress of thinking up new inanities for this blog.

Seriously, people. Did you forget your passwords? Are you too wrapped up in your own blogs? Have you got an actual life outside of the interweb? WHAT IS THE DEAL?

How was The Messengers? The previews scare the crap out of me. I know….sad.

Yeah, The Messengers was pretty formulaic. But, then again, I can’t say it was anything I wasn’t expecting. Even at their most repetitious, I like these movies. (The creepy, not gross, style of horror.)

For what it’s worth, the acting was surprisingly competent for a B-horror, and though most scenes were directly copied from other movies, they were good influences. (The Birds, The Shining, Poltergeist, the original Amnityville Horror, etc.)

My only complaint is typical of horror today: they rely too much on startling the audience rather than actually scaring them with atmosphere and connection with the characters. Ah, well. :)
