I've even been known to buy a bag and leave it open for a couple of days before eating them so they're even chewier. What I was trying to imitate were the chocolate-covered marshmallows from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory. They used bittersweet chocolate and somehow got it to stay on as a thin hard shell. Mine turned out thick and uneven. (But they were damn tasty right out of the fridge, I have to admit. Just a little too sweet.) If you make them, post pictures! :-) See, I’m the opposite – I’m a total marshmallow ho. Smores, wagon wheels, marshmallow peanut butter squares, peeps, those horrible marshmallow strawberries and bananas---I've never been fond of any of them. (I do have a certain tolerance for roasted marshmallows and the hard-as-rock kind in Lucky Charms cereal.) That said, these look really good for some reason... And I might have to give them a second chance. At least Mark will eat them, if I won't.
