It was actually a lot of fun. We marched down René Lévesque chanting some amusing French rally cries: "Harper, ça suffit! On veut notre démocratie!" (They had English ones too, but they weren't very good--or even particularly applicable; one was "Whose streets? Our streets!")

It would have been nice to go to the much larger Ottawa rally, but at least there were some interesting speakers here: Our Liberal MP, Marc Garneau; the losing Green party candidate, whose name I forgot; Bloc leader Gilles Duceppe; and, of course, the Raging Grannies and their French-speaking counterparts, Les Mémés Déchaînées.

Also, one of the organizers was super cute.
