I think I must be in the minority here, because Mark thought it was creepy too, but I just find this clip to be ridiculously funny. Every time I see it, I crack up.
I mean, the principal is a creepy skeleton! Hilarity on so many levels.
Plus, the quietness and simplicity of it would inspire me to try animation myself, if I had the tools for it.
I will confess that I did laugh (a slightly horrified laugh, true) when he first showed up in the door, and again when he reached for the PA, but I’m afraid my overall reaction was finding it quite, quite creepy.
I’m sure I can’t be the first one to suggest this, but I think all the Slap drawings would be ridiculously perfect as, say, 15-second animated spots.
